Watson Capstone Projects - Student Info
ECE-ME Senior Design (EECE 487/ME 493 and EECE 488/ME 494)
Our multi-disciplinary teams of senior Computer, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering students spend two semesters applying their technical knowledge and creative minds to real engineering problems. Students are assigned to projects based on the projects' needs.
The Course Syllabus applies to both semesters and both the ECE and ME departments.
WCP Intro for Juniors is the presentation given to CoE, EE, and ME juniors to help prepare them for Watson Capstone Projects in their senior year.
It also applies to students in other Watson School departments interested in participating in WCP interdisciplinary projects.
Through arrangements between course instructors, some Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, General Engineering Minor, and Computer Systems students also participate in these projects.
Student-initiated project proposals must be submitted by an ECE or ME faculty member or an industry sponsor.
Project teams typically consist of 3-5 seniors and are interdisciplinary.
Engineering Minor students should register for WTSN 490 and 491, so that no Degree Works exception is required. We coordinate with EDD to submit your grades through them.
